1st day (30th Dec, 2010)
We reached the airport at 7:45 a.m. Our flight is at 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. But luckily we all got the same flight at 8:3 0 a.m. The flight got delayed due to the weather. So, we reached pokhara airport at 10:00 a.m. only.
Then we went to the ‘Lake Diamond’ hotel near the lakeside where we booked our room. Ordered our lunch there and went to visit ‘Barahi Temple’ at Fewataal, took some photos there.
After passing about half an hour there, we returned to the hotel to have lunch. After lunch, we went to ‘Devi’s Fall’ and ‘Gupteswor Mahadev’ by local micro.
Around the lakeside there was street festival. So, neither buses nor bikes were allowed to enter the area. The only option is to walk. We had to walk around 30-45 minutes to reach to our room.
On the way to room, we had sausage, fish and chicken wings. In room, we ordered coffee. After a while, Kiran (friend of pragya and bikash) came. We all had coffee together. Then we came outside along with Kiran to have dinner. On the way we separated from Kiran as he’s busy with his friends. Then, decided to go to ‘Thakali’ to have dinner. After dinner, we went to room. Pragya called Asim (Ananta’s brother) for his time to visit other places at Pokhara as he’s in Pokhara. Asim asked our room location and said that he’s coming to visit us at 10:00 p.m. Pragya just guessed Ananta is coming with him. And to our surprise, Ananta came with Asim. We all felt too happy. Ananta’s plan was to give surprise to us and Bikash knew all this. Then, they went outside to know about hiring bikes. At 11:30 p.m., they returned back. Ananta went with Asim. Mohan and Bikash went upstairs in their room. We 4 talked a bit late and then slept.
Wake up at 7:00 a.m. Our plan to visit Sarangkot was postponed as we were unable to arrange the bikes. Ordered tea and went outside with Mohan to buy bread. Then, we had our breakfast. Ananta and Asim came to room. Ananta, Asim, Bikash and Mohan went outside to hire the bikes. After a while, they came with bikes. Then we went to ‘Seti River’, took some photographs. After passing about an hour, we went to book our return tickets in tourist bus.
We had lunch together. Then, we headed to ‘Mahendra Gufa’. On the way to cave, it started raining. However, it was awesome.
Then, we went to ‘Chameru Gufa’. We 6 (me, Mohan, Ananta, Asim, Kamala, Kamala) went there as Bikash was having problem in his legs and Pragya felt tired. We 4 returned from middle of the cave. Ananta and Asim completed it. But we took photographs as if we'd also completed.
It was raining continuously, had tea outside. Then, we went to ‘Seti Khonch’ although it was raining. Then, we went to newari khaaja ghar along with Asim to have some food. Really had a great time there talking about Arun’s (Asim’s brother) childhood. We passed almost more than an hour there. Then we went to ‘Buddhist Monastery’. It was already 6:00 p.m. and there was load shedding. So can’t have the clear picture of there. But the place was awesome.
Then, we went to Asim’s home as Asim and Ananta need to change their dress for tomorrow. We’d planned to visit ‘Sarangkot’ tomorrow morning. We returned from there, brought naans, rajma and chicken for dinner, roamed around street festival. At around 8:30 p.m. we reached room. After having dinner, Asim, Ananta, Bikash and Mohan started playing cards. We 4 were watching TV as well as watching them playing cards. At 12:00, wished HAPPY NEW YEAR and they went upstairs to their room and we slept within a while.
3rd day (1st Jan, 2011)
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!! Wake up at 5:00 a.m. to go to Sarangkot. Without having tea, we went to Sarangkot in bikes. We’ve to walk around 35 minutes to reach at the top. Felt too tired. We are too lucky that we can see the sunrise. The view of mountain and sunrise from there was too beautiful. We took some photographs there.
Then, me and Mohan went to have tea, other 4 were continuing with their photo shoots. After a while, we went to ‘Bindhabasini Temple’.
We had our breakfast - puri tarkari and tea. Then, we headed towards 'Begnaas Taal'. Mohan, Bikash, Ananta and Asim went for boating. We 4 were busy with the photoshoots near the river.
After having lunch, we went to ‘Museum’. It was not so interesting place but we enjoyed photo shoots in different poses.
After about 1 and half hour, we went to have lunch. After lunch, we went to ‘World Peace Pagoda’. Till then, we all became too tired. We really enjoyed photo shoot and the view of mountain and lakes from there.
After that, we’d plan to go to ‘Pame’ to eat fish. On the way to ‘Pame’, we had coffee then, headed towards ‘Pame’. The road to ‘Pame’ was too rough however we enjoyed. We ate fish fried and fish curry with chiura. After that we returned. On the way to room, we’d decided to give the bikes as tomorrow morning we’ll be going. Then we went to the shop from where the bikes were hired. Asim and Kamala ‘B’ went directly to room in Asim’s bike. After payment of bikes, I and Mohan went to search for ATM and others went to room. Our bad luck that we can’t withdrew money from the ATM’s. So, went to room with naan and rajma for dinner. Ananta and Asim went to visit their relatives. We all felt too tired especially Mohan. He was getting fever also. After having coffee, he slept a while in our room. We all were watching tv. At around 10:00 p.m. Mohan and Bikash went upstairs to their room and we slept thinking that we’ve to wake up early tomorrow morning.
4th day (2nd Jan, 2011)
Woke up at 5:15 a.m. Our bus was at 7:00 a.m. After being ready we headed towards bus-park. Ananta, Asim and Bikash were on one bike and we were on taxi. We had tea at bus park. At around 7:30 a.m. the bus moved for Kathmandu. Mohan was having headache and not feeling well too. On the way at 9:00 a.m. we’d breakfast break. Brought some wai-wai and ate at the bus. At Malekhu, we had our lunch break of 25 minutes. We reached Kalanki at 2:15 p.m. To be in bus for more than 6 hours… oh it’s too much difficult. At kalanki, we all had tea together and we separated. We reached home at 3:00 p.m.
